The Masked Singer

Posted: Apr 27, 2021 by: Sian Peel (speel) on: Maple Class

Class 6 have been making their own version of the TV program The Masked Singer. The children have been busy making some beautiful and very colourful masks, so they can disguise themselves. They used papier mache, pipe cleaners, feathers, paint and glitter to create different insects, a clown, a skull and a tiger mask.

We are currently making a PowerPoint of the children wearing their masks, which we will be sending to some other classes in school, to see if they can recognise who’s behind the mask.

Below are pictures of some of the children wearing their masks. Can you guess who they are?

For our topic “Out and About” we have been pirates onboard a ship on the high seas!! The children made pirate hats which they wear while they play along, on drums and tambourines, to sea shanties in our Music and Movement sessions.

We also wave our flags to the song The Jolly Roger, dance on the deck of the ship to other pirate songs and we explore our treasure chest of gold and jewels. Everyone enjoys this session especially now that they have become familiar with the songs.

The children are settling into class following lockdown and are working well. We are glad to have them back in school.
