Work Related Learning and Work Experience

Work experience is an opportunity to introduce young people to the world of work, and layer up the skills needed to help them get prepare for adulthood.

At The Coppice School, we offer our learners the chance to broaden their understanding  through meaningful experiences of the world of work both in school and in partnership with local businesses and employers.

This may take the form of;

  • WORK RELATED LEARNING

Work Related Learning enriches our curriculum provision for all learners from Key Stage 3 onwards.  It gives them ‘hands on’ and practical experience of the world of work and is delivered through planned activities that use the context of work to develop knowledge, skills and understanding useful in work.

  • WORK EXPERIENCE

Where appropriate, work experience is individually tailored to match the needs and aspirations of students. A variety of opportunities may be available for learners both within the school setting and in the wider community to include local businesses, charity organisations and public services.
