Acorn Summer 1

Well, the Summer Term seems to have arrived so quickly!

In Acorn class this term we will be learning about Transport. For the first half term focusing on ‘local journeys’ so we hope to be going out and about around Bamber Bridge and visiting different environments. We have already enjoyed finding out about different types of transport and our role play areas have been a ticket office where we can look at lots of different places to visit and how to get there. We have had some keen ticket sellers and bus drivers so far. In our outdoor area we have set up a mini garage with tools and checklists required for servicing and repairing our crazy coupe cars. We have also had the opportunity to set up some car washing while the sun has been shining!

After half term we will be learning about ‘Old and New’ types of transport so we see the difference in how things have changed.

We will also have plenty of other fun activities going on during the term as we have ‘More Music’ coming to work with us later in the term and we should be able to invite you in to watch a final performance. We have Pupil Voice day and Sports week which will no doubt provide us with some great opportunities to be active and have fun !
