Beech Spring 2 2026

Posted: Mar 20, 2026 by: Debbie Bagwell (dbagwell) on: Beech Class

Welcome back to another busy term!

We have continued to work super hard this term, and enjoyed different topics throughout.

In English, we have been reading different stories each week. After reading the story, we used role play to create a story map of what happens in the beginning, middle and end. We read books such as The Gingerbread Man and Please Don’t Chat To The Bus Driver.

Math’s has been extremely busy once again. We have focused on weight, discovering which objects are heavy and light. We then looked at fractions. We enjoyed splitting food in half and sharing with our peers. Some food we did not want to share! We have also continued with number recognition and representation.

In RE, we have focused our learning on Hinduism. We looked at the different festivals which are celebrated and even enjoyed making our classroom a Temple so we could experience what happens inside.

PE has been as exciting as ever. We continued to put our throwing skills in to practice by throwing high and low to prepare for our very own Dodgeball competition. We have also looked at our rolling skills. We played games such as Boccia and Curling, and rolled our equipment into a targeted area to score a number of points.

We are very proud of the hard work each pupil continues to show!

From everyone in Beech Class, have a lovely half term!
