Beech class Summer 1

Welcome back – The hard work didn’t stop this term!

In English, we have been following instructions. We have played games such as ‘Simon Says’, and followed visuals with minimal prompts. We have followed instructions to wash our hands, make a jam sandwich, make toast and then we sequenced how we brush our teeth. The pupils have followed instructions very well, we are very proud!

Math’s has continued to test our pupils. We have focused on topics such as money, shape, time and worked hard during subtraction and addition calculations.

In History, we have focused our learning on Transport through the Times. We have explored the history of our transportation. We built a train track to ensure our trains could travel, we made cars out of Lego and discovered which looked old and new. We then made boats out of Lego to see if they could float.

In PE, we have been practicing our athletic skills. We focused on our running and jumping fundamental movement skills. We played different games to enhance our running skills such as the corner game and the Floor is Lava. We then used different steps to encourage jumping.

We are very proud of the hard work each pupil continues to show!
