Rowan Autumn term

Posted: Oct 14, 2025 by: Debbie Bagwell (dbagwell) on: Rowan Class

Welcome back!

As we begin a brand-new school year, it’s time to prepare for another exciting journey.

This term has been another action-packed adventure—to infinity and beyond! In Literacy, we’ve explored the fascinating tales of The Smeds and The Smoos and an Alien Encounter. Let’s just say, our imaginations have been out of this world. From aliens to planets, we have gone out with a big bang!

Maths has seen autumnal patterns being made, shapes compared and heavy, light, big and small objects being compared. We have looked at maths around us and how it is part of our everyday lives.

We have focused on Hinduism and created Rangoli alongside Diwali sweet treats. Our senses have been met with beautiful tastes, smells, textures, sights and sounds!

Throughout the term, we have looked at how our school, Bamber Bridge and we have changed as part of our history topic.

Andy Warhol has inspired us with pop art and we have enjoyed using different colours and textures to create Pop art of ourselves, planets and patterns.

Looking at different animals has helped us to share what our favourite animals and pets are. We have looked at animals and their offspring, different habitats and the food they eat.

To keep everyone moving and grooving, our pupils continued with their weekly CE, Sensory PE, Hydrotherapy, and PE sessions.

We hope you have enjoyed our blog post and pictures!
