Oak Class welcomed 2 new students in September and they have settled in really well. This term we have been looking at the Victorians. We've been exploring various artefacts including a washboard, dolly and a tub which everyone enjoyed practising with. We had a visit from History Alive who demonstrated what it was like to attend a school during the Victorian era.
We designed a Christmas card for the Cauliflower Card Company and when the orders arrived, the cards, wrapping paper and mugs looked amazing and festively fabulous. We have continued with our community visits when we purchased items for our cooking skills sessions in which we continue to practice our chopping, peeling and weighing skills. Our sensory learners have enjoyed exploring the ingredients by touch and smell.
During the 'World of Work' week we had some visitors in school who told us about the jobs they do. We had a theatre nurse, hairdresser, plumber and a man who even makes his own Superbikes!
