Spring term

This term in Oak we have been working very hard in all areas of the curriculum.
We have also enjoyed exploring Japan, the culture, language and have created some art work on Japanese koi carp. As a group we have continued to learn facts about the sea creatures associated with The Great Barrier Reef. We have created our own coral pictures using a variety of materials to print with which included broccoli, sponges and bubble wrap.
Our young people have been out in the local community shopping and visiting Morrison’s café in Leyland. They always enjoy choosing something ‘yummy’ to eat and drink before paying for the items themselves.
A group of students continue to access both the local leisure centre and the tennis centre. They are all growing in confidence with swimming and also enjoy being part of a team.
Our sensory learners have been enjoying a variety of activities which include the story ‘Animal Boogie’ and using switch operated toys.
